From my friend Anna who has provided the "dove release" at our highland games closing ceremonies. WHITEBIRD Ceremonial Dove Releases was inspired by the closing ceremonies of the 1984 Summer Olympics. I glanced up just as they released 1,500 white birds and I burst into tears. I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! After much research, imagining, planning, and a little bit of procrastination, I began raising my flock eight years later and WHITEBIRD was hatched.
Haggis: contact Kate Harper. email: kate(at)caledoniankitchen.com. They are also selling casings, so people can make their own presentation haggis (or haggi, as the case may be). Alternatively, they can go to the web site, Caledonian Kitchen

Ally Bally Bees Ltd. My wife and I run a small confectionary company in Scotland that specializes in re-creating lost treats from the past. At present we manufacture two products sure to hit base with any Scot:
Coulters Candy: Made famous in the traditional Scottish Folk song
‘Ally Bally Bee’ , this traditional boiled candy has an almost mystical status.
We now make this real taste of Scotland in three varieties.
Boiled, Toffee and Fudge. Or one to suit each dental plan
Krakatoa : Along with Spangles, Midget Gems and Wagon Wheel biscuits the size of CDs, the very mention of Creamola Foam is enough to have a whole generation of Scots becoming misty-eyed with nostalgia for the good old days of the 50s through to the 90s.
